ASPRIN C

**Composition (per 1000 grams):** – Acetylsalicylic Acid (Aspirin) …………………………

500 mg – Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) ……………………………

250 mg **Description:** Acetylsalicylic acid is known as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a mild analgesic.

It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties, and also inhibits platelet aggregation.

The effectiveness of acetylsalicylic acid is primarily due to the inhibition of the cyclooxygenase enzyme, which is responsible for the formation of prostaglandins and thromboxane from arachidonic acid.

Prostaglandins are major causes of inflammation, pain, and fever.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is involved in the conversion of folic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid and in the conversion of proline to hydroxyproline, which is essential for collagen formation.
