BROMOXINE – 10 mg

LIQUID SOLUTION
FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

COMPOSITION :
Each 1 ml contains :
Bromhexine Hydrochloride 10 mg

INDICATIONS:
Bromhexine Hydrochloride as an aid to the treatment of respiratory disease, where mucus is a complicating factor.
Bromhexine Hydrochloride is a mucolytic with two main pharmacological actions.
Its first effect is to stimulate an increase in the secretion of fluid by the mucus glands of the respiratory tract.
Secondly, it breaks down the network of acid glycoprotein fibres found in mucoid sputum, which are mainly responsible for its characteristic viscosity.
Bromhexine Hydrochloride has been shown to increase mucociliary clearance in animals suffering from respiratory disease.

Poultry: CRD, Infectious bronchitis, Laryngotracheitis, Infectious Coryza, Influenza.
Turkey: Infectious sinusitis.
Calves, lambs, kids and foals: Pneumonia, Bronchopneumonia, Rhinitis and Cough.

CONTRA INDICATION:
Hypersensitivity to Bromhexine.
Animals with an impaired liver function.

SIDE-EFFECTS:
Gastrointestinal side effects, headache, vertigo (dizziness), sweating and allergic reactions may occur.

PRECAUTIONS:
Medicated drinking water should be used within 12 hours.
Drug concentrations in bronchial secretions increase when Bromhexine used with chloramphenicol, tetracycline and Aspryamaysyn.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Bovines, Calves and Foals: 1–2.5 ml / 50 kg B.W. per day, for 5–7 days.
Lambs and kids: 0.5–1 ml / 50 kg B.W. per day, for 5–7 days.
Equines: 0.5–1.20 ml / 50 kg B.W. per day, for 5–7 days.
Dogs: 0.8–1.25 ml / 50 kg B.W. twice daily, for 5–7 days.
Cats: 0.5 ml / 50 kg B.W. twice daily, for 5–7 days.
Poultry: 50–100 ml / 200 L of drinking water per day, for 3–5 days.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Calves, lambs, kids and foals: Meat & Milk: 3 days.
Poultry and turkey: Meat & Egg: 2 days.

Keep it in the original packing in a dry, dark place below 25°C
