**TOLTRACOX** **Composition (per 1 ml):** – Toltrazuril …………………………..

25 mg **Description:** Toltrazuril is an anti-coccidial agent from the triazinetrione group, effective against *Eimeria spp.* It targets intracellular developmental stages of the parasites without affecting extracellular stages.

Toltrazuril reduces enzymatic activity in the respiratory chain, causing inflammation of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, changes in the perinuclear space, and alteration of nuclear division.

In chickens and turkeys, toltrazuril is absorbed at a rate of no less than 50%.

Distribution is higher in the liver and kidneys, where it is quickly metabolized; the main metabolite is toltrazuril sulfone.
