COMPOSITION:
Each 1 ml contains:
Progesterone ……………………………………………… 25 mg

DESCRIPTION & INDICATION:
Progesterone binds to specific cytoplasmic receptors, which then enter the nucleus and alter the transcription of DNA leading to alterations in cellular metabolism.

Progesterone normally produced by the corpus luteum and by the placenta of pregnant mares.
Progesterone is commonly prescribed for pregnancy maintenance, estrus synchronization, estrus suppression, and behavior modification.

ProVet injection is a progesterone treatment which assists in the prevention of threatened abortion and in the reduction of embryonic mortality in dogs, cats, horses and cattle.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
The product must not be used in prepubescent animals.
Use before the expiration date.
Do not apply to animals that are hypersensitive to active materials.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat: 28 days.
Milk: 72 hours.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
(Deep intramuscular injection).

Cows and Mares: 5 to 10 ml.
Cats and Dogs: 2 mg to 4 mg per kg bodyweight.
Repeat at weekly intervals as required.

The doses indicated above should be considered as indicative, since it will be the Veterinarian who establishes the appropriate dose depending on the process to be treated.

Keep it in original pack, Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C.
