DEWORMER BOLUS
FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

COMPOSITION:
Each Bolus contains:
Levamisole HCl …………………………………………… 1,500 Mg
Oxyclozanide ……………………………………………. 2,000 Mg

INDICATIONS:
OXYSOLE is used for the treatment and control of Gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematode infection and chronic fascioliasis in Cattle, Buffaloes, Camels, Sheep (activity against adult and larval worms):
Haemonchus longsilis, Strongylus mentulatus, Liver fluke, Paratronema skrjabini, Trichostrongylus spp, Nematodirus spp, Trichuris ovis, Fasciola hepatic (adult and immature fasciola more than 6 weeks), Tape worms infestation: mature worms and stilesia vitale.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals known to be hypersensitive to the active substances.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
Oxyclozanide is an anthelmintic of the salicylanilide group. It is effective against Fasciola species, acting as an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation. It may act at more than one site to decrease levels of ATP leading to metabolic malfunction and death of the parasite. The substance is most active against mature flukes. Oxyclozanide is slowly absorbed after oral administration with peak plasma levels 24 hours after dosing. Excretion is predominantly faecal.
Levamisole Hydrochloride is a highly effective anthelmintic agent. Levamisole Hydrochloride is the low isomer of tetramisole hydrochloride.
It is a broad spectrum anthelmintic with activity against a wide range of gastro-intestinal helminths and lungworms in cattle and sheep. Levamisole is a ganglion stimulant of the nervous system of nematodes causing neuromuscular paralysis of the parasites.
Because its action on the nervous system is not ovicidal.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Cattle, Buffaloes, Camels and Sheep: one Bolus per 200 kg.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
Camels, Cattle, Buffaloes and Sheep: Meat: 14 Days, Milk: Do not use in animal producing milk for human consumption.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINES:
Concurrent treatment with products containing organophosphorus compounds or diethylcarbamazine citrate should be avoided.
These compounds should not be administered within a period of 14 days before or after treatment with the product.

Keep it in original pack, store in a dry, dark place below 25°C.
