ANTIBIOTIC WITH VITAMINS POWDER
For Oral Administration

COMPOSITION :
Each 1000 gm contains :
Erythromycin (as thiocyanate) 4.127 gm
Tetracycline (as hydrochloride) 3.160 gm
Vitamin B1 40 gm
Vitamin B2 75 gm
Vitamin B6 60 gm
Niacin – Vitamin PP 500 gm
Calcium-D-pantothenate (VB5) 220 gm

INDICATIONS:
Is used for the treatment of infection caused by gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria sensitive to tetracycline and erythromycin in poultry, lambs, calves and kids.
Especially: (coryza, infectious sinusitis, pullorum disease, bronchopneumonia, typhosis, avian cholera, diarrheic infections), breeding micropsim with lowering of production and mortality.
Vitamins B group as well as calcium propionate supply the body vitamin deficiency.

DESCRIPTION:
Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic with a bacteriostatic action against a wide range of bacteria, although it also has a bactericidal action against certain pathogenic organisms.
It is highly active against gram +ve bacteria and at low concentrations it inhibits many other types of micro-organisms.
In addition to the gram-positive bacteria, most strains of Neisseria and Haemophilus are sensitive as are some strains of Bordetella, Brucella, Pasteurella, Listeria, Actinomyces, Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, certain large viruses and Treponema pallidum.
Tetracycline (TC) is a broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action in vivo.
The spectrum includes gram +ve and gram -ve, aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms.
The primary pathogens involved in puerperal intrauterine infections, Actinobacterium (Actinomyces) pyogenes and Escherichia coli, are susceptible to tetracycline.
For systemic action against most susceptible microorganisms, in vivo serum concentrations of 0.5 – 2 µg/ml are considered efficacious, which need to be sustained over a sufficiently long period of time.
Concentrations of more than 2 µg/ml of tetracycline are easily obtained in folliclo following intrauterine administration of the recommended dose.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Calves, Lambs & Kids: 10g per 15 Kg body weight for 3 to 5 Days.
Poultry: 5g per 1 Liter of drinking water daily for 3 to 5 Days.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Kids: Meat: 7 Days.
Lambs: Meat: 7 Days.
Calves: Meat: 7 Days.
Poultry: Meat: 7 Days.
Egg: Not used for layers providing eggs for human consumption.
