ANTIBIOTIC SOLUBLE POWDER
FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

COMPOSITION :
Each 1 KG contains :
Lincomycin base ……………………………………….. 500 gm which

is equivalent to 567gm Lincomycin hydrochloride.

INDICATIONS:
Treatment against necrotic enteritis caused by pathogen agent susceptible to lincomycin, in particular clostridium perfringens.

SPECIAL WARNINGS:
Presence of indicated pathogens has to be shown.
Bad use of the product may cause increasing prevalence bacteria resistant to lincomycin and reduce efficacy of the treatments with other lincosamides, macrolides and streptogramins due to possible appearance of a cross resistance.

Special precaution to be taken by person administering the veterinary medicine product to animals:
Protective gloves are suggested. Do not eat, drink or smoke during manipulation. Wash hands after use.
Persons with known hypersensitivity to lincomycin shall have to avoid contact with veterinary medicine.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER VET. MEDICINES AND OTHER FORMS OF INTERACTION:
Coadministration reduces the absorption of lincomycin, if it is administered together.
In case of need of the administration of both them, it is recommended that both should be administered separately.
The combined use of lincomycin with macrolides and streptogramins should be avoided because of possible antagonistic effect or of the occurrence of a cross resistance.
The antibacterial action of lincomycin could be decreased if administrated with aminoglycosides.
Do not administrate with penicillin and cephalosporin.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
50gm LINCOM per 200 liters of drinking water for 5 days
(correspond to 10/20 mg of product per kg b.w.).
Do not mix with solid feed.
After determination of required daily dose, weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
The product must be used continuously depending on the clinical condition of the animals.
The medicated water should be the only source of drinking water throughout the treatment period. Medicated water should be prepared freshly.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and viscera : 5 days

Keep it in cool and dry place.
Do not expose to direct heating sources.
