Injection Solution

COMPOSITION:
Each 1 ml contains:
Imidocarb Dipropionate …………………………………. 120mg

INDICATIONS:
Used to control Babesiosis in cattle and dogs.
As well as treatment and prevention of Anaplasmosis in cattle and Ehrlichia canis infections in dogs.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not administer intravenously in cattle.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

DESCRIPTION:
Imidocarb is an antiprotozoal derived from carbanilide, which act directly on the glycolysis of the parasite and as an inhibitor of topoisomerase II, blocking DNA replication.

Its spectrum of action includes:

  • Cattle:
    Babesia argentina, B. bigemina, B. bovis, B. divergens, Anaplasma marginale.
  • Dogs:
    Babesia canis, B. gibsoni, B. vogelli.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Slaughter of cattle for meat allowed no earlier than 21 days,
for milk consumption no earlier than 6 days.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
(For Subcutaneous injection only).

Cattle:
For Babesiosis: 1 ml/100 Kg body weight.
For Anaplasmosis or mixed infections anaplasma and babesia: 2.5 ml/100 Kg.

Dogs:
For Babesiosis: 0.25 ml/10 Kg body weight.
For Ehrlichiosis or mixed infections due to Ehrlichia and Babesia: 0.5 ml/10 Kg.
2 doses at an interval of 14 days.

Keep it in the original packing at temperatures not exceeding 25°C, protected from light.
