500 mg **Indications:** ERETHROCIN is a water-soluble macrolide antibiotic suitable for all types of drinking water.
It is used to treat infectious diseases caused by erythromycin-sensitive bacteria and *Mycoplasma* in poultry.
Erythromycin binds reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking translocation reactions, which inhibits protein synthesis and bacterial cell growth.
It is used to treat chronic respiratory disease (CRD) caused by *Mycoplasma* infections and infectious respiratory diseases caused by erythromycin-sensitive bacteria, such as: – *Staphylococcus aureus* (e.g., infectious arthritis) – *Haemophilus paragallinarum* (e.g., infectious coryza) – *Pasteurella multocida* (e.g., pasteurellosis; pneumonia) in poultry.
**Dosage and Administration:** – **Poultry:** 20 grams per 100 liters of drinking water, administered for 3-5 consecutive days.
Treated water should be replaced every 12 hours.
**Drug Interactions:** Do not administer concurrently with other bactericidal antibiotics.
**Contraindications:** – Hypersensitivity to erythromycin.
– Administration in animals with severely impaired liver and/or kidney function.
– Concurrent administration with tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, macrolides, or lincosamides.
**Special Precautions for Persons Administering the Product to Animals:** It is recommended to wear gloves and masks during administration, especially if there is known hypersensitivity to penicillin.
**Withdrawal Period:** – **Poultry:** – Meat: 3 days – Eggs: 6 days **Storage:** Store in the original packaging in a dry, dark place below 25°C.
