1 ml **Indications:** Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic with bactericidal activity, effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as mycoplasma.
It is used in turkeys, broilers, layers, and replacement chickens for treating respiratory and digestive system diseases of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin, such as *Pasteurellosis*, *Mycoplasmosis*, *Salmonellosis*, *Coli-septicaemia*, and *Coli-bacillosis*.
Clinical experience, supported by sensitivity testing where possible, indicates ciprofloxacin as the preferred treatment.
**Uses:** Used to treat infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive organisms such as *Campylobacter*, *E.
coli*, *Haemophilus*, *Mycoplasma*, *Pasteurella*, and *Salmonella spp.* in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.
**Contraindications:** – Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin.
– Administration to animals with severe liver and/or kidney impairment.
– Concurrent administration with tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, macrolides, and lincosamides.
**Side Effects:** – Hypersensitivity reactions.
– Administration to young animals may lead to joint issues.
**Administration:** Oral.
**Dosage:** – **Calves, Goats, and Sheep:** 10 ml per 75 – 150 kg of body weight, twice daily for 3 – 5 days.
– **Poultry:** 200 ml per 400 liters of drinking water for 3 – 5 days.
**Withdrawal Periods:** – **Cattle and Calves:** – Meat: 5 days – Milk: 4 hours – **Sheep and Goats:** – Meat: 5 days – Milk: 4 hours – **Poultry:** – Meat: 1 day – Eggs: Not for use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
**Storage:** Store in the original packaging in a dry, dark place below 25°C.
