INDICATIONS:
SCOUR-BAC is indicated for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria and associated toxins in infections in horses, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs & cats.
It is particularly effective in:
Neonatal diarrhea (scours) of bacterial origin.
Enteritis and enterotoxemia caused by E. coli, Salmonella spp., and other enteropathogens.
Scour/pneumonia complex in young livestock.
Soothing intestinal mucosa.
Reducing intestinal spasms and discomfort with hyoscine hydrobromide.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to sulfonamides, aminoglycosides (e.g., streptomycin, neomycin), or hyoscine.
Do not administer to animals with impaired kidney or liver function.
Do not use in ruminating adult livestock, as kaolin and pectin may interfere with fermentation and nutrient absorption.
Do not use in animals receiving folic acid antagonists (e.g., methotrexate) due to possible drug interactions with sulfonamides.

SIDE EFFECTS:
No undesirable effects are to be expected when the prescribed dosage regimen is followed.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For oral use only. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.

Small animals: 4–8 ml per 8–10 kg bodyweight.
Calves & other large animals: 30 ml per 25 kg bodyweight.
Lambs: 5 ml.

These dosages should be doubled for the initial treatment. Thereafter, treat as above night and morning.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Milk: Not for use in lactating dairy cows.
Meat: Animals producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be slaughtered during or within 14 days of the treatment.
Important: Not for use in bobby calves.
