DESCRIPTION:
Calcium is an important constituent of skeleton and teeth, and is essential for the activity of a number of enzyme systems including those necessary for the transmission of nerve impulses and for the contractile properties of muscle. It is also involved in the coagulation of blood.
In young growing and in adult animals, calcium deficiency may lead to rickets and osteomalacia, respectively. These symptoms may also result from a deficiency in phosphorus, which is closely associated with calcium in bone.
In addition, phosphorus occurs in phosphoproteins, nucleic acids and phospholipids, and plays a vital role in energy metabolism through the formation of sugarphosphates and adenosine-di- and triphosphates.
Chronic phosphorus deficiency may lead to stiff joints and muscular weakness, the outward sign of which in young animals and low milk cows is pica (abnormal appetites).
Low dietary intakes of phosphorus have also been associated with low fertility, reduced appetite and feed utilisation and depression or irregularity of oestrus.
Calcium and phosphorus are important constituents of bone and play an important role in the growth of young animals.

INDICATIONS:
Used as supplement for animals to increase calcium and phosphorus in the body, to improve feed conversion, for better bone formation and enhancement of growth performance. For pregnant females to avoid milk fever, and for milk-producing animals for high-quality milk production.
