1 ml **Indications for Use:** Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent with bactericidal activity, effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as mycoplasma.
It is used in turkeys, broilers, breeders, and replacement chickens for treating respiratory and digestive diseases of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin, such as pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, coli-septicaemia, and coli-bacillosis.
Clinical experience, supported by sensitivity testing of the causative agent when possible, indicates ciprofloxacin as the preferred choice.
**Uses:** Used to treat infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive organisms such as *Campylobacter*, *Escherichia coli (E.
coli)*, *Haemophilus*, *Mycoplasma*, *Pasteurella*, and *Salmonella* in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.
**Contraindications:** – Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin.
– Administration to animals with severe liver and/or kidney dysfunction.
– Concurrent administration with tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, macrolides, and lincosamides.
**Side Effects:** – Hypersensitivity reactions.
– Administration to young animals may lead to joint diseases.
**Administration:** For oral use.
**Dosage:** – **Calves, Goats, and Sheep:** 5 ml per 75-150 kg of body weight, twice daily for 3-5 days.
– **Poultry:** 100 ml per 300-400 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
**Withdrawal Periods:** – **Cattle and Calves:** – Meat: 5 days – Milk: 4 hours – **Sheep and Goats:** – Meat: 5 days – Milk: 4 hours – **Poultry:** – Meat: 1 day – Eggs: Not for use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
**Storage:** Store in the original packaging, in a dry and dark place below 25°C.
