Long Acting Copper Oxide Capsules for Lamb, Sheep and Goat
For Oral Administration
COMPOSITION:
Each capsule contains:
Copper oxide 2 gm (equivalent to 1.7 gm metallic copper)
INDICATIONS:
- For the prevention and treatment of copper deficiency in lamb, sheep, and goat.
- For the prevention of congenital swayback.
- For the prevention of delayed swayback by the treatment before signs appear.
- For the reduction of Lamb, Sheep, and Goat mortality in conditions of copper deficiency.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Following administration of COPPERRODS to Lamb, Sheep, and Goat, other forms of copper supplementation are unnecessary and must not be given.
SIDE EFFECTS:
No undesirable effects are to be expected when the prescribed dosage regimen is followed.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
For Meat and Milk: Zero Days
PRECAUTION:
- Caution before treating sheep susceptible to copper toxicity eg. North Ronaldsay or Texel.
- Animals should only be dosed if copper deficiency is known to exist or to be a risk. Gelatin capsules are relatively fragile; handle with care, and protect from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
LAMBS: Place 1 capsule at the back of the mouth after 8 weeks of age.
SHEEP & GOAT: Place 1-2 capsules at the back of the mouth.
For the prevention of congenital swayback, the dose should be given at tupping or during the first half of pregnancy.
On farms where copper deficiencies are known to be particularly the second or third month of pregnancy rather than at tupping.
Keep it in the original packing in a dry, dark place below 30°C
